3D DIGITAL MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGY (Scan-Design-3DPrint-Inspect)

  • 3D Digital Manufacturing is an advanced and integrated approach to the manufacturing that is performed by comprehensive solutions.
  • The core concept of the course lies with the demonstration of scanning an object using a 3D scanner in front of students. The 3D scanned output will get digitally reverse engineered, and once the design gets ready, it will go under the 3D printing process. Finally using the same 3D printed components, the digital inspection activity is carried out.

3D DIGITAL INSPECTION USING 3D SCANNING TECHNICS (3D Scan to Inspect)

  • In the revolutionary non-contact metrology systems, the physical object is 3D scanned and converted into a digital data which is then imported into “Computer-aided inspection application”, and then used as test object against original CAD. Both the 3D scanned and CAD designed data are superimposed and inspected digitally, and then the PDF report is generated as an output.
  • Live 3D scanning for a physical object which is ready with a CAD model, and undergo a 3D inspection process which will be explained using digital measurements.

3D DIGITAL REVERSE ENGINEERING USING 3D SCANNING TECHNICS (3D Scan to CAD)

  • Digital Reverse engineering is atechnic where a physical component is cad designed using3d scanned/digitiseddata (replaces conventional method of contact type measurements) parameters and cad features are extracted and fit on a 3d scanned image (.still).
  • A highly complicated live 3D scanning of the physical object is carried out, and then it is reverse engineered digitally, and our experts detail every single step here.
