Traditional automotive engineering design and modification use clay sculptures for modeling, which is often high cost and accompanied with a long-time cycle.We can eliminate this surfacing process by doing full scale digital clay directly from the dense scale model scan data. In Geomagic Design X, high resolution polygonal mesh deliverables support the realistic renderings for analyzing scan data to CAD with an automatically generated color plot highlighting areas in or out of tolerance. With the help of Geomagic Design X, we can render any vehicle side by side for design impression. The 3D CAD file can be delivered to the customer in the desirable format.
